Waterproof tape is a kind of electrical insulation and waterproof sealing tape with excellent self-melting and conformal properties. It has strong surface adhesion and good thermal stability. It can be used in occasions such as electrical insulation and waterproof sealing. Waterproof tape and PVC tape are used together. It can provide reliable waterproof sealing and insulation protection for electrical circuits.

Tape Features

Excellent conformity to irregular appearance

Good compatibility with various cables

self-melting tape

Wide operating temperature range

Excellent weather resistance and waterproof sealing function

Excellent adhesion to copper, aluminum and cable jacket materials

Application

Used for waterproofing of joints of communication equipment base stations, antennas, peeping lines, etc.

Maintenance of Waterproof and Sealing of Overhead Insulated Conductor Joints

Cable Sheath Correction

Suitable for main insulation rehabilitation of 1000 volts and below

Suitable for insulation of motor leads up to 1000 volts

Main insulation for connection of 35KV and below bus bars

Watertight sealing of the ground wire

In order to obtain the best conformability and waterproof sealing effect, the protective plastic on the outer layer of the tape should be torn off first when wrapping, and then the tape should be stretched to make it three quarters of the original width before stretching. After wrapping, it is advisable to knead the tape on the covered area by hand, so that the layers are tightly attached without air gaps for full bonding. Finally, on the outside of the tape, two layers of PVC tape must be stacked and wrapped to provide mechanical protection.

Under normal circumstances, the waterproof joints manufactured strictly according to the above process will not go wrong after N years of use. I have passed many engineering inspections, and there has never been a single case of failure!

The line joints should generally be soldered to avoid bad junctions after a long time.
